Ofsted Report

Young England Kindergarten became a Limited Company in October 2015 and was subsequently required to re-register with Ofsted. Young England was granted a new registration in January 2016 (Unique Reference Number: EY496300).

Section: The overall effectiveness of the early year’s provision (page. 4)

Overall the quality of the provision is good.

The kindergarten provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and their families. A highly qualified staff team have made recent improvements to provide an excellent range of learning experiences for all children.

Children are currently making good progress and an effective key person system meets their individual needs well. Comprehensive arrangements exist to promote children's safety and well-being. Exceptional partnerships with parents enhance the quality of care that children receive.

Overall, the kindergarten has good systems in place to maintain continuous improvements.

Ofsted key inspection judgements are graded 1-4:

  • Grade 1 is Outstanding: this aspect of the provision is of exceptionally high quality;
  • Grade 2 is Good: this aspect of the provision is strong;
  • Grade 3 is Satisfactory: this aspect of the provision is sound; and
  • Grade 4 is Inadequate: this aspect of the provision is not good enough.

Young England scored between 1 and 2 for all key areas of inspection. The kindergarten achieved a grade of ‘Outstanding’ in four areas, including:

  • The effectiveness with which the setting deploys resources;
  • The effectiveness of the setting’s engagement with parents and carers;
  • The quality of the provision in the Early Years Foundation Stage; and
  • The extent to which children adopt healthy lifestyles.
