The battle to get children into a top nursery is a fierce one. And competition is so fierce in the capital, that parents are putting their precious darlings on waiting lists before they have even made their grand exit from the womb.

This Pimlico nursery gave Princess Diana her first job. One of the most established London nurseries, it feeds pupils to top schools including Hill House, Wetherby School and Kensington Prep.
