Miss Avneet is a Montessori-qualified nursery teacher. She holds a degree in Early Years Education and an Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) which were attained at Kingston University. Miss Avneet was previously the Deputy Head Teacher at YEK Pimlico from 2012 until 2018 assisting Miss Lucinda. Miss Avneet took a break from teaching to explore home schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Miss Lucinda joined the Young England Kindergarten (Pimlico) team in 2009 and became Head Teacher in 2011. Miss Lucinda holds a degree in Early Childhood Studies and a PGCE in Primary Education specializing in Early Years. She obtained her QTS in 2008. Miss Lucinda’s role is to oversee the running of both YEK (Pimlico) and YEK (Bayswater) with a particular focus on admissions, recruitment, advising parents on the choice of school for their child after YEK, and ensuring that our policies and procedures, and EYFS-based curriculum are being delivered effectively by the teaching staff. Miss Lucinda has overseen two consecutive OFSTED inspections, both rated ‘Outstanding’.

Miss Rachel joined YEK in January 2025. She graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA degree in Festival and Event Management. Miss Rachel was previously employed in a private nursery school and is currently studying for her NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education.

Miss Angela joined in September 2025 as our Nursery Assistant. She is highly qualified and has extensive experience with the Early Years age group, having previously worked at two nursery schools as a Nursery Teacher as well as being an Au Pair. Miss Angela holds a Qualified Teacher Status, a Degree in teaching from University of Zaragoza, and is studying for a Degree in Psychology.

Mr Henry joined the Young England Kindergarten (Pimlico) team in 2013. Mr Henry has been involved in two OFSTED inspections, both rated ‘Outstanding’. He has in-depth operational knowledge of managing nursery schools and upholding the highest standards. He is responsible for recruitment, admissions, marketing, funding applications and accounts.

Miss Kay has worked in the Early Year sector for over 50 years. She joined Young England Kindergarten (Pimlico) in 1973 and has helped generations of children flourish throughout her time here. Miss Kay was awarded a British Empire Medal (‘BEM’) in The King’s Birthday Honours List 2023 for services to Early Years. Miss Kay remains instrumental in helping Young England remain the special place that it is.
