Meet Our Team

Henry joined Young England Kindergarten, Pimlico, in 2013 as School Business Manager and is the son of our Proprietor, Kay King. He previously worked in the renewable energy sector. He has extensive operational experience in running premium nursery schools and is responsible for admissions, human resources, marketing, accounts, and funding applications. Henry is an integral part of the senior management team who successfully achieved two consecutive Ofsted 'Outstanding' ratings.

Miss Lucinda began her teaching career with work experience at Young England Kindergarten, Pimlico, in 2000. She then continued her training and gained a degree in Early Childhood studies, followed by a PGCE in Primary Education specialising in Early Years. Miss Lucinda obtained her QTS in June 2008 whilst teaching at Eaton House The Manor School. Miss Lucinda re-joined Young England in 2009, became Head Teacher in September 2011 and Principal of The Young England Kindergartens in 2024. Miss Lucinda was instrumental in Young England Kindergarten, Pimlico, achieving two consecutive Ofsted 'Outstanding' ratings.

Miss Kay holds a Montessori Diploma and joined Young England Kindergarten in 1973.

After working as a teacher at the school for six years, Miss Kay then became a joint Principal for twelve years and took over the running of the school in 1989. She stepped down as Principal in 2024.

Miss Kay was awarded a British Empire Medal in The King’s Birthday Honours List 2023 for services to Early Years.

Miss Kay believes passionately in supporting children and parents through this exciting chapter of their lives.

Miss Avneet is a Montessori-qualified nursery teacher. She holds a degree in Early Years Education and an Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) which were attained at Kingston University. Miss Avneet was previously the Deputy Head Teacher at YEK Pimlico from 2012 until 2018 assisting Miss Lucinda. Miss Avneet took a break from teaching to explore home schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Miss Angela joined in September 2025 as our Nursery Assistant. She is highly qualified and has extensive experience with the Early Years age group, having previously worked at two nursery schools as a Nursery Teacher as well as being an Au Pair. Miss Angela holds a Qualified Teacher Status, a Degree in teaching from University of Zaragoza, and is studying for a Degree in Psychology.

Miss Rachel joined YEK in January 2025. She graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA degree in Festival and Event Management. Miss Rachel was previously employed in a private nursery school and attained her NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education.

Group Teacher & SENDCo

Early Years Education, Bayswater Sessions

Five mornings per week, Monday to Friday (8.30 am – 12 pm). Children start the term after they turn two years old.

Additional afternoon sessions are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (12 pm – 3.30 pm).

All children in the Caterpillar Session are welcome to stay for lunch from Monday to Thursday instead of the full afternoon, pick up at 1 pm. Fees for the lunch club include a hot V&Me meal.

Five mornings and three full days (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 8.30 am – 3.30 pm).

Additional Tuesday afternoon sessions are also available: 12 pm – 3.30 pm.

All children in the Butterfly Session are welcome to stay for lunch on Tuesday instead of the full afternoon, pick up at 1 pm. Fees for the lunch club include a hot V&Me meal.

Early Years Education, Bayswater

Young England Kindergarten, Baywater, is registered with OFSTED on the Early Years Register and compulsory part of the Childcare Register. Registration no. 2814224. Setting reference no. 2814226.

In line with OFSTED guidance, we are due a rating inspection within 30 months of our registration. Details will be published as soon as they are available.

The Principal of both our nursery schools, including Young England Kindergarten, Pimlico – rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted – will undergo a termly audit and inspection of Young England Kindergarten, Bayswater, to ensure the highest possible standards during this interim period.
